Juan Carlos I Business park in Madrid, implements Cervic Environment ecological islands

Madrid City Council sets an integral environmental sustainability project on Juan Carlos I business park, one of the biggest green areas in the Spanish capital. One of the measures implemented is to install a multitude number of Cervic Environment ecological islands to collect solid urban waste.

Responsible for Juan Carlos I business park, have decided to install Cervic ecological islands due to its resistance to external environmental conditions and vandal acts, low maintenance cost and its easy handling by waste collection service workers.

The project to implement recycling systems is based on replacement and addition of current park litter bins by ecological islands developed and patented by Cervic Environment. Sidney islands have been designed to allow a very intuitive use. It includes different modules to perfectly separate plastic or cans from other type of waste. Both containers are identified with yellow and brown colors and also with graphic icons for a correct recognition.
