Benidorm bets for Sidney ecological islands from Cervic Environment for its beaches

Benidorm council has installed Sidney ecological islands on its beaches. A model specially designed by Cervic and adapted to be installed on beaches with large number of visitors as Benidorm beaches are, receiving millions of visits per year.  The ecological islands allow bathers to do their part for the environment as it facilities recycling right on the beach.

Sidney ecological island have been developed by Cervic’s Environment Engineering Department in close cooperation with technicians from council’s Environment department and the supervision of  city’s Waste management Firm R.A. Benidorm, S.L. Among other features, it has been designed including an special anchorage to place the islands right on the sand. The litter bin has a capacity of 60l, which has been considered as suitable by technicians taking into account the city needs and estimated waste volumes.  Furthermore, litters bins are customized with Benidorm image and manufactured to support hard environment conditions very typical of coastal areas.
