AENA installs at Alicante Airport Protec litter bin from Cervic Environment

Cervic Environment’s I+D+i department has developed an innovative litter bin called Protec. It has been designed to fitting out public areas with massive flow of people such as airports, train stations, etc.. PROTEC is the first litter bin designed focusing on security, ecology and social integration given that its configuration allows refuse collection, its telescopic system allows to be used by persons with reduced mobility and its design allows to visually check the content placed inside.

It design is thanks to the collaboration of AENA (Spanish Airport management and air navigation services). In fact, first units of this model have  been installed in the public access area of the Altet international airport in Alicante.

PROTEC litter bin is patented by Cervic and includes different and independent 10l or 20l capacity trays to allow a quick and easy visual checking of the content placed inside. In addition, limits the possibility to have thrown volume object inside in an uncontrolled manner.

PROTEC litter bin does have an ergonomic design to make easier the emptying of the trays by cleaning service. Reduces time and removal is done rapidly and flexibly. Specially designed to be adapted to any place.
